The Writers’ Workshop Launches New Crime Blog

Charlbury, United Kingdom (16 August, 2011)The Writers’ Workshop, a leading editorial critique agency specialising in providing writing feedback, festivals and courses, have launched their brand new Crime Blog, ‘Mean Streets’.

Set up and run by Harry Bingham of The Writers’ Workshop, the leaders in editorial critiques and online courses for aspiring writers, Mean Streets promises to explore Crime writing in all its guises.
Harry Bingham, successfully-published author of both fiction and non-fiction, conceived the idea of this blog, where a large part of Mean Streets will be devoted to book reviews of the latest crime fiction. The ultimate aim is to review every crime novel released by major publishers – a substantial ambition The Writers’ Workshop is determined to accomplish.
“We have a growing band of passionate Crime aficionados, including Harry himself, DCI Jackie Malton (the forensic specialist who advised on Prime Suspect and whom Jane Tennisons’ character was modelled on), and Tom Harper (former head of the Crime Writers’ Association); all of whom are reviewing as many books as the publishers can provide,” commented a spokesperson for The Writers’ Workshop. “For more information about our reviewers, we have filched some Top Secret Files and posted some very compromising notes on the ‘accused’ in our Lineup.

“Witty, informative and immediate, this blog is a great place to discuss all things criminal and is highly recommended for all Crime fiction and non-fiction fans.”
