(06 June, 2011) – Enventure Technology Services, a leading product design services and component obsolescence managementprovider to global corporations, has been awarded an order for the creation of graphically-enhanced, 3D-based assembly instructions by a world leader in alternate power systems.
The creation of these instructions is part of Enventure’s Technical Documentation Services, which includes the design of instruction manuals and work instructions for leading organizations. This project in particular serves as Phase 2 of Enventure’s contract with this alternative power systems manufacturer.
The Client was experiencing errors in assembly, material wastage, high risk of occupational hazards, increased downtime during product changeover and extensive training requirements due to the challenges they faced with daily changes to product assembly instructions. The assembly instructions in use by their multilingual workforce were indistinct, as they featured an abundance of text-based instructions which were difficult to comprehend, and the photographs used were too generic and not specific enough for accurate assembly.
“As part of our Technical Documentation Services to this Client, we used existing 3D design data to create their assembly instructions, resulting in better clarity documents and revision control mechanisms.
