Plumbclick understand that due to changes in Part L of UK building regulations, plumbers will no longer be legally allowed to fit Band B condensed boilers from October 1st 2010. However, if an order was taken before this date then they can continue to be installed until April 2011.
The changes in building regulations are due to the development of Band A boilers which have proven to be more efficient. The new Band A boiler offers flexibility in its positioning and flueing; therefore it is a more attractive and effective water heating system for modern living.
