Mizuno Releases New Wave Sayonara Lightweight Training Shoe

Berkshire, United Kingdom (20th June, 2013) – Mizuno, a world leader in running shoes, football boots and other types of sporting footwear, has released the Wave Sayonara, a brand new performance neutral shoe, suitable for anyone wanting a faster ride. It enters the lightweight market offering the more competitive runner an ultimate high-tech, lightweight training shoe for faster pace-running regimes.

Replacing Mizuno’s Precision 14 (and 50g lighter) and Wave Elixir, paying homage to Mizuno’s noughties offering, the Wave Goodbye.

The Wave Sayonara gives a dynamic ride and delivers mile after mile of light, cushioned, stable performance. The Wave Sayonara features Mizuno’s latest technology, U4iC (pronounced ‘euphoric’) in the midsole, resulting in an amazing cushioning to weight ratio – it’s 30 per cent lighter than Mizuno’s AP+™ compound, but gives as much impact protection.

The lighter weight and 10mm heel-to-toe drop adds dynamism and on the outsole, blown rubber on the lateral side makes the Wave Sayonara flexible, G3 in the forefoot promises great grip and traction (particularly in dewy or damp roads), and X10 in the high-wear, heel area offers added durability.

The Wave Sayonara also features Mizuno’s Parallel Wave® Technology in the midsole, symmetrical on both sides and ideal for neutral runners. Wave technology gives impact protection and a smoother ride by dissipating impact forces away from the foot, offering a cushioned feel on every step.

The midsole geometry of the Wave Sayonara offers a little extra support on longer runs.

The Wave Sayonara air mesh upper features Dynamotion Fit™ technologies that create an upper which moves with your foot seamlessly throughout your stride, eliminating stress points and bunching for a more comfortable run. The no-sew upper design with printed overlays and hot-melt internal straps across the forefoot hold the foot secure in the midfoot, giving the forefoot freedom to move, offering a similar fit to the Wave Precision.

Features:

  • RRP: £100 / €125.
  • Weight: Men size 10: 230g; Women size 6: 190g
