Gloucestershire, UK, (11th January, 2011) – Worktop Express, a leading UK provider of solid wood worktops, have increased their own 2Man delivery service with the addition of a 7.5T vehicle to their fleet.
A 7.5T vehicle allows for larger capacity and handling of bigger items. Worktop Express is now able to use a 7.5T vehicle, as well as other HGVs, due to their restricted operator’s licence being accepted by the Ministry of Transport. Worktop Express’ transport manager Phil Allright is due to take his CPC in freight operations in February, which will enable the company to apply for their full international operator’s licence and will allow for further expansion of the company.
The 2Man delivery service was originally launched in January 2011 and, due to increased demand, was extended in October to now include most of the north and south east of England. They also added two new vans to the service, ensuring the majority of mainland UK can use the service, which provides the customer with a three hour delivery slot by email the day prior to delivery and then a phone call 30 minutes before arrival. Upon delivery, the two-man team will offload the worktops unassisted to the nearest ground floor access point of the customer’s house or building.
