Travel Market Improvements See Burleigh Travel Hire Four New Staff Members

Gloucestershire, United Kingdom (27 August 2010) – Burleigh Travel, leading UK suppliers of fully-inclusive sports tours, are pleased to announce that they have hired four promising members of staff to join their knowledgeable and friendly team.

Ana Piciorus, Vicky Smith, James Mungavin and Ceri Rees beat over 130 applicants to secure their roles. 23-year-old Ana is a Sports Science Graduate from the University of Birmingham and is fluent in Romanian. She is looking to utilise her talents to source and develop new initiatives for Burleigh Travel’s client base – she will be especially helpful for those looking to book rugby tours to Romania, one of Burleigh Travel’s most popular destinations.

27-year-old Vicky has recently returned from travelling the globe and holds a degree in Sports Studies. Her experiences globe-trotting and the vast knowledge she has amassed alongside her immense passion and involvement in the women’s rugby circuit will be crucial to providing touring teams and customers with the perfect rugby tours and sports holidays.

Despite his background in law, 24-year-old James’s passion for travel and sport made him an outstanding candidate during the recruitment process. Educated to degree level, James has a deep and intricate knowledge of Scotland and Holland – both of which are frequently requested tours in the Burleigh Travel portfolio.

Finally, 23-year-old dance graduate Ceri is itching to start a long, successful career in the travel industry after spending the last three seasons as a ski instructor in Italy. Her experiences travelling and one-on-one communication with customers will put her in great stead when liaising with suppliers and clients. Ceri has Italian language skills and has visited many of Burleigh Travel’s key travel destinations in the past, and her insight will prove to be valuable for customers and staff alike.

“We’re delighted to welcome our four new starters to Burleigh Travel and are certain they’ll prove to be valuable additions for the present and beyond,” comments Chris Kite, director of Burleigh Travel. “Their love for travel and sport really stood out in the interview process. They’ll bring this enthusiasm to their new roles which will be of huge benefit to our regular and new customers alike. As an incentive, the new employee showing most promise, enthusiasm and accuracy during the initial formal training programme provided by Burleigh Travel will win a place on an inspection visit to one of our new sports tour destinations; the breathtaking Montego Bay in Jamaica.

“Burleigh Travel would like to congratulate all successful candidates in their success of joining our team and wish them the very best on their quest to visit Jamaica, and also in their future with the company.”
