London, United Kingdom, (10th October, 2011) – Barber Design, a leading contemporary interior design agency, has designed and created the in-store retail design and presence for music artist Robbie Williams’ new clothing line.
Robbie Williams is to launch a menswear label for Autumn 2011 to be stocked exclusively in House of Fraser stores and online at Very.co.uk. The range, named “Farrell” after Robbie Williams’ grandfather Jack Farrell, was created in homage to his style and features a collection of clothing with a heritage feel combined with a modern style.
In-keeping with the style of the clothing, Barber Design focussed on handmade elements combined with contemporary style throughout the retail design. Hand-written signage, panelled walls, tailor dummy-style mannequins and bespoke rugs were used to create the same timeless feel inspired by the clothing, and contribute to the heritage presentation of the brand.
“We were keen to thoroughly express the unique character of the Farrell brand within the retail design, using all the tools at our disposal to create an atmosphere as vintage and detailed as the clothing itself,” commented a spokesperson forBarber Design . “Farrell is a brand founded upon presenting clean-cut, tailored lines as opposed to being all about labels, and we worked to incorporate this minimalist principle into our design; creating a quality, timeless backdrop that doesn’t detract from the uniqueness of the clothing.”
